Disabling Antivirus
Third-party AV and Windows Defender can block installs, drivers, or injection.
Disabling security reduces protection.
Only do this if support tells you to.
Remove any installed AV, for example:
Norton
Avast
McAfee
Malwarebytes
Kaspersky
Then restart your PC.
Open Windows Security → Virus & threat protection → Manage settings.
Turn off:
Real-time protection
Windows may re-enable this automatically after some time or after a reboot.
Download:
DControl Downloadarrow-up-right
Extract the zip.
Open the tool and click Disable Windows Defender.
Go back to Download and continue the prereqs.
Turn Real-time protection back on in Windows Security once you’ve finished.
